Using UTF-8 but still getting symbols

I imported my list as an UTF-8 text document, but I still have characters that are converted into symbols. Why is this?

Do you have some sample data that we can use to test?

How is your file delimited?

You could try copy and pasting the file into excel, then clearing formats and saving as a new *.csv. When you're importing your list, instead of using Auto-Detect, specificy using Comma Seperated Values.

I am assuming that you followed the instructions in this article - http://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000L3CXCA0

If you are still seeing some symbols (not all), then it is probably because UTF-8 doesn't necessarily cover all characters in your chosen language.
