Using Dynamic Content: Snippits vs. Email Editor

I am restructuring my company's weekly newsletter to be more targeted and content-specific. Thus, dynamic content and segmentation will play a huge rule. My question is which way is better to develop the email.

First, I could create snippets for each segment. Second, I could move the body section of the email from static to dynamic right in the email editor, then edit for each segment. I think both are viable options, but wondering if anyone has thoughts on which may be more beneficial.

Hey Andrew. It's all about what works best for you but I really like using snippets. Depending on the newsletter content you may want to use both - snippets for the content/images/signature blocks that will be consistent weekly by segmentation and then dynamic copy for the different copy each week.

I would use Snippets if I was using the same content every week. I would use just edited text/dynamic segmentation of the body section if my content was unqiue each week.

Thanks, great points shared. I think I will continue to use dynamic content/segmentation within the email itself then since it will be changing every week (including associated images). That gives me a bit more control when building out.
