Uploading File/Image to receive URL - unencrypted/issue

I recently loaded a new file (tried both a PDF and JPEG) to Design Studio to receive a URL to host in my comm and the URL is unencrypted. Did something change with Marketo? I receive an error message that the link is not safe when I send the test email to myself. I connected with our internal IT team, and they guided me back to Marketo for resolution since the link is unencrypted (http) but is being redirected to encrypted (https) URL.

Yep exactly as I said above:

You need to open a Support case to ensure the SSL cert is added for those domains.

Otherwise the default cert is used, which of course will cause a browser error.

First, are you talking about

 

  • the branded tracking link (in the email itself)

or

  • the final destination link after redirection (i.e. at your Landing Page domain)

 

Both of these domains can and should be secured with SSL.

 

However, if you recently added a new branding domain or LP domain alias, you need to open a Support case to ensure the  SSL cert is added for those domains.

Here is what our IT team told me: " I went back and checked one of the older emails and they still work, however, this email is being redirected on Marketos' side. The link is unencrypted (http) but gets redirected to encrypted (https). The link is go.constellis.com, however, they are presenting a certificate for adobe.net, which is why the error message comes up saying the connection is not private. Are you able to reach out to their support to ask about it? Loop me in if I can help clarify or need to get on a call with them."
