Updating existing program channel with members in it.

I think this would be very complex for them to build because it then has to decide which statuses to move people to, update flows, etc. Either the system has to decide, or guide you through a wizard.

I realize this would reduce the burden of the occasional mistake, but it might be better to choose your Program Channel carefully before you run it.

I understand the complexity of this. This would be useful when you create a new Channel and want to rearrange the old programs that are already running on a old Channel.

Salesforce.com allows you to replace a value you want to delete from a picklist with another value. To do this in Marketo, the wizard would need to function similarly by forcing the admin to select new values to replace the old ones for all response levels when they request a change of channel type.

The best practice documentation does not exist as it should for the field of Marketing Automation and Marketo does not provide out of the box canned values with corresponding descriptions to put novice admins on the right track. Thus, seasoned administrators often inherit instances with values they cannot use to pull useful reports. Saying that you'll start tracking from today doesn't work when you have to track past ROI to justify your current existence.
