Update Google Analytics code

There should be separate field in Marketo admin section to add the google analytics code. So if required then admin can change it in one place and it will automatically update on all the templates and individual landing page. Along with that there should be choice to add or remove the code from individual landing page.

Thanks

Hi Harish,

It is easy to add it to the LP templates as a variable.

Hi Greg,

The issue, I am facing is in existing system, they (the company) has not created it using good approach. They have added it individually on the landing page and now we need to update the GA id and to implement the same, I have to check each page individually.

Can you please suggest me some easy way to do this.

Thanks

Hi Harsih,

add the GA JS code to the LP templates, just replace the GA ID with a Marketo Variable (under the form of ${myvariablename}) The variable needs to be declared in the header section (see the Guided LP page on Marketo doc, if you are not familiar with this).

Reapprove the LP template, then edit the pages and just change the variable value, then reapprove the pages.
