Until when can I check-in people on the events app?

Our Sales guy will be the sole staff member at a customer event. He will not have time to check people in at the event. Can he do it the next day? Or is there time limit on the app?

I think you can, but then why bother using the app?

How else will the sales guy change all the people who attended's status', so they can get the thank you for coming email the next day? He does not have access to Marketo usually so has not used it before.
