Unsubscribe Button

Hi,

We are creating a mini-nurture program and we want the emails to come out looking like text emails, does anyone know if we are able to hide the unsubscribe button so that it looks like a legit text email and not an html email that just has text?

Thanks for the help. I have 1 question though, I'm assuming if i go into the admin section and edit/remove the unsubscribe feature it will affect all of the emails, when i only want it to affect certain ones, can that be done???

Be careful here.  Most countries require some sort of opt-out/unsubscribe mechanism in all non-operational/transactional emails.  Also, if you don't specifically state that it's an "operational email" in Marketo, Marketo won't send it out.  From the sound of it, these are not operational emails.

Dan - are you suggesting that the Marketo instance can determine whether or not you have included the "unsubscribe" link in your custom HTML email?

I am curious about this option because I want to remove the existing plain text "This message allows you to unsubscribe..." at the bottom of all emails.  My organization would opt to include the Unsubscribe link as part of our custom HTML, which is how we design all emails.

Kyle, yes it can.  However, you don't have to use the canned text that's defined in the Admin section and included in the default email templates.  All Marketo is checking for is the unsubscribe token: {{system.unsubscribeLink}}.  We too use custom HTML/text for our email footers:
