 I'm on step 2-Send an Email of the Getting Started Tutorials. On 2.1 "Click Edit Smart List under the Audience tile". all I get is a spinning logo with Loading... and I can't go any further.

Did you try clicking the "Smart List" tab at the top? Maybe try in a different browser as well? If this is a completely new email program, it's weird that you would be having problems--generally I only experience issues getting the smart list numbers to refresh.

I have a similar problem except, my version of Marketo doesn't have a Smartlist tab at the top - nor does it have tiles. 

Along the top - next to the name of my program the Tabs are just :  Assets, Set-up, My tokens and Members

Has the software been re-designed?
