Question

Tracking link clicks in emails to conversion goals on my site

So this may be a basic one, but I am trying to track the success of the links I have in my emails, not just the clicks in the email, but also all the way thru to the conversion goals I have set up on my site. I have the munchkin code set up on all the pages of my site, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how I can see results in marketo. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

john

Hi John,

I think you're trying to track non-anonymous clicks and visits to certain goal pages.

One way you could do this is by exporting the following lists and tying them together in Excel via Lead ID or email address:
  • Has visited goal page x
  • Has visited goal page y
  • Clicked on link u
  • Clicked on link v
  • Was sent email z
A bit tedious, but fairly straightforward for an Excel guru and gets the job done.
