Track lead status by individual not organization

Our issue is that when a purchase is made at the organizational level, Marketo then assigns all contacts in that organization as customers, even though some may still be prospects. For example, if a Compliance Officer purchases compliance training, it will assign the CEO, CFO and COO as customers instead of leads (where we could potentially sell them more targeted services). Is there an easy way to change this?

This is actually caused by a Salesforce workflow, you should contact your sales ops team to have it changed.
