To api or not api

Hello All,

Im having numerous issues with a variety of web forms all pushing data into Marketo.

Im just wondering the ins and outs of using web forms and APIs or just putting all your forms in marketo on marketo landing pages.

Whats the benefits/reasons on having the APIs.  It seems to me there is more problems caused than problems solved.

Just wondered what the general consensus is.
