Timing on Meta Data updates

Hi does anyone know how long it takes for Meta Data changes to flow through? I updated the meta tags on my landing pages but when I try to link to them on social networks. The information hasn't updated and when I check the source code for the pages, the meta data isn't there. Does this need to refresh overnight or something?

LinkedIn for example states it will cache for 7 days. So within 7 days they should be updated.

LinkedIn and Facebook typically crawl your pages withing 5-8 days and update the meta content. Unfortunately, unlike Google, they don't have any option to submit the URL for speeding up the process.
