Text only version of Sales Insight

We have two email templates in Sales Insight that have areas to be tailored by our sales directors. These are not areas that can use a token but, rather, have to be personally typed in.

I set up the HTML version with a clear indicator so the sales directors know where to tailor the email.  I copied this to the text side of the editor when creating it. However, I am wondering what happens to the text version when a sales director goes in via Sales Insight and edits the email.  Will it update the text version, or will the text version continue to say "TAILOR THIS" when it reaches those areas?

In my experience, the text version does not react automatically to changes made to the HTML version. They would have to edit the text version in addition to the HTML or click on "pull from HTML" to copy the HTML version into the text, but in my experience that messes up the formatting of the text version, so you'd have to clean that up again. 

Perhaps there is a better way of handling this that I don't know about. I'd love to hear about it!

What you're describing is absolutely the case on the regular emails built in Marketo.  But I'm not sure how it works with Sales Insight.
