Testing engagement program once it has members

Is it possible to runa test on a stream once it contains members without it affecting the members of the stream? In other words, if I have leads in a stream but want to test my campaigns that run once content has been exhausted, I'd need to run casts for my test lead until it exhausts the content. I assume that the cast runs only for that test lead? Or is it not possible to test once it is running with real leads?

We do have a stream test funtion outlined here:  https://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000LB9CCAW

You can run casts as often as you would like for a test email address without affecting the other leads in the Stream.
