Syncing advertising programs to SFDC campaigns

My company did not use SFDC campaigns prior to Marketo, but people are suggesting we should.

I am right now setting up advertising programs and wondering what the benefit is to having them synced back to Salesforce.

Lots of benefits - one of the biggest ones would be to track marketing influence of marketing activities like your ad campaigns on sales opportunities.

Also to add to Taylor's comments, it's a great way for Sales to identify which Marketing campaigns prospects have participated in.

As best practice, you should create SFDC campaigns for all Marketing activities to indentify what's generating the most revenue.

Also, make sure you create your SFDC campaigns by first creating it in Marketo and then syncing it back to SFDC.
