Question

Sync with SFDC and "not specified" fields

Hello,

we have just migrated to SFDC and according to our op team, some fields have to be populated in order for sync to work properly. As a result, they are auto-filling some fields "with not specified" value. The issue that I'm now seeing is that when we use auto-fill, those values are showing up on our users' forms. Are you encountering same issue? How did you solve it?

Thanks.

Hi Cecile, unfortunatetly the only solution I've found for this is to not pre-populate either those fields where 'not specified' is often found, or not pre-populate any fields for a period of time, until many of your known records have updated this information.

If anyone has a better solution, I'd love to know about it!

This is in the Admin > SFDC settings. I don't recommend doing this because people should meet the minimums for SFDC insertion.

@ Josh: are you saying that Dory's recommendations are risky?
I thought that what she meant is not to use the pre-populated settings in MKTO form and so basically people have to filled out all fields displayed...
