Sync to SFDC Failed: can not retrieve newly pushed object from sfdc

There are certain leads showing this error "Sync to SFDC Failed: can not retrieve newly pushed object from sfdc". Sometimes this message shows up more than once, one right after another. The interesting part is that the leads are still getting inserted into SFDC. Each time the message shows up, it creates a new lead record and now we have duplicates in SFDC.

Does anyone know what this error means and how to resolve?

Please speak with Support. I suspect it means there is something wrong with the permissions for the Marketo User on the Lead or Contact object.

Hi Erin,

It sounds like the most likely scenario is that SFDC's autoassignment rules are assigning the record to an owner which the sync user doesn't have visibilitiy to. I recommend logging into SFDC as the Marketo sync user and looking for one of the example records you're seeing the error for. I'm guessing you won't be able to see it. Then you can work with your SFDC admin to alter the role heirarchy to make sure the sync user can see everyone.
