Store UTM parameter as hidden form fields and sync them to SFDC

Hey everyone,

we are capturing UTM parameter in hidden form fields and have created 3 new fields in SFDC to store those values.

I am seeing the 3 new SFDC fields in Database-Management > Field Management > Field Management

but when I want to map them to Marketo fields in Field Management> Field Mapping the 3 new SFDC fields don't show up.

What could be a possible reason for that?

Am I missing a step?

I am pretty new to this and thankful for any help!

Opportunity fields are "read only" - so they won't appear within the form editor.

    What you also suggest to create those fields on leads/contacts instead of opportunities?

    Hi Kevin,

    Believe me, this is the only way to be able to get them in Marketo and be able to add them to a form

    Create these fields on leads and contacts in SFDC.

    Furthermore, creating them on opportunities would mean that an opportunity would have only 1 source, 1 medium and 1 contact. This is a complete negation of modern Marketing reality, which is that t takes multiple touch points to make an opportunity.

    Marketo offers you the capability to measure the contribution of Marketing to the business in a multi-touch mode.
