Question

Stop writing to Salesforce Activity history

Is there a way to have Marketo stop updating the activity history of salesforce lead records?  The space is becoming too crowded for our SRs to see their own activity in the feed.  I would rather find a setting in Marketo to stop writing all the e-mail events to the activity history than have to set salesforce permissions.

Hey Scott,

You'll need to go to Admin>Salesforce, and then edit the activity types that you want synched to SFDC.  Uncheck those which you do not want synched.

FYI: Marketo only syncs 1 activity per activity type per day. Example: if a lead opens 2 emails, only 1 is synced. Same for forms and so on. That's why Marketo Sales Insight with interesting moments is such a powerfull tool. You can also statr using SF campaigns for each campaign in Marketo, as SF displays Campaign History and Activity History in different parts.
