Speed of marketo lately

Is it just me or have things been running really slow lately for smart lists and exports of those list?  I know that smart lists have been very slow in the past, but lately it seems unbarable, weven with a list that returns less than 50 results.
I keep hearing that the speed of smart lists is going to be addressed but have not seen any results yet.  Anyone else having these issues?
