Show history of "cloned from"

It would be extremely helpful if there could be something either on the Summary screen or elsewhere that could indicate that the Program/Smart Campaign/etc was cloned from "The original campaign"

Too many times lately when having team members clone programs MarketingOps has had to investigate why scoring rules and other changed items are persisting in future campaigns and programs.  We corrected our "cloning template" but see that many times the newly created items were cloned from a previous errant program/campaign.

This is a good one. I have a rule where the team can clone a Program, such as a Webinar, from another functioning program as long as it was cloned from the Program Master in the same quarter. Essentially, the team can clone one webinar from the Program Master and then make their changes/updates and use that as their "Master" for the rest of the quarter. It's not the best rule, I wish they would clone from Program Masters all the time, but they have good reason and it saves them time. But I have no way to track if this is followed and when there's an issue, it takes a long time to investigate.

Do share your secret Emily Dick!?

What's this look like as far as rules/settings?

Lol it's a verbal rule that I've put in place. Currently it only exists for Webinar programs. All others must be cloned from the Master Templates or they get publicly shamed via Slack when something goes wrong or isn't using the most current version of an asset.

I wonder if this insight might be part of the upcoming Audit Trail feature set?

Fingers crossed!

I really like this idea even just at the basic level of cloning emails where you want to be sure you are cloning the latest email and landing page so that you can be confident in the spelling, the grammar, the legal disclaimer, the brand template etc. is the latest rather than out-of-date.

As Dan mentions it does sound like something that might be part of the audit trail.

Hi Geoff,

Voted, but it's not recommended to have scoring flow steps scattered all around your instance. It is much safer, and far much easier to maintain, when scoring is completely centralized.

Great idea and I love the shaming forum that Emily uses too!
