SFDC sync

Hi Community, 

We are wondering, If we have an active program in Marketo that is synced with SFDC and we want to change the campaign name in SFDC, will it break the sync between Marketo and SFDC? Or will it continue to work as usual?

No, it will not break the sync. In fact, Marketo almost always detects the name-change in SFDC and automatically updates itself in any programs that you are referencing that campaign.

It will continue to work as usual.  My boss has changed the SFDC campaign name a few times which is synced to a Marketo program and there's no problem.

Thank you MIchelle and Bruce. Will the Marketo campaign name remain the same, or will it update with the new SFDC campaign name?

Hilary -- the Marketo Campaign and/or Program names will remain exactly the same.
