Question

Set up a Follow up Date to Trigger

We get alot of leads asking if we can follow up with them next month or further down the line. Currently it is set up where alot of leads have been slipping through the cracks. We'd like to set up a calander event that when that date is reached it will trigger an email, text, or  increase their score for us to call. I have some Ideas that would mainly come from the CRM(Sugar) that would create a trigger. I'm just wondering what others have done and what are the best practices.

Cheers,

Pieter

you can have a field update that comes down to Marketo from Sugar trigger a Marketo workflow that has a 30, 60 or 90 day wait step (based on field value) and then the flow-step send alert to lead owner...

Do you have 'Marketo Sales Insights' available and implemented in your Sugar CRM? Have not used Sugar CRM yet, so do not know first hand.
If yes, you can create 'Sales Available' Campaigns in Marketo to send alert to the sales rep after '1 week', '1 month' or '3 months' etc.
in CRM, in Marketo Sales Insights area, you can see a drop down for 'Actions'. The sales reps can select 'Add to marketo campaign' and  pick appropriate marketo campaign to get alerted on.
