Question

Sending emails with Token based Sig Files

We have a bit of a unique situation, we have set up a bunch of templates in marketo for sales to use. The issue is we have more than 1 rep that might be send an email to a lead/contact. We set up the sig file with tokens to pull data from the lead/concatc owner. This works if the lead/contact is owned by the sender, but if someone doesn't own the data, is there a way to override the tokens? I'm trying to avoid having to set up unique templates for sig files.

Richard,

I don't believe so. I recall another thread on this, so do a search again for it.

I was thinking you could try nesting tokens, but I doubt this will work. Another way is to use Segmentations to setup unique signatures based on a variety of factors. I'm not so sure that's the best solution though.

What's the logic behind choosing a sender? For example, if it's based on location, then Josh's recommendation of using Segmentations and Dynamic Content would be a good way to solve your challenge.

Also, from a scale perspective, I would recommend creating signatures for your different senders as Snippets.
