Send emails from Territory Owner Without Syncing to Salesforce

Does your cold list have territory during your list upload? If it does there should be a way.  I need a little more detail to see if this is possible.

Yes, there is.  The State is on it which is how we route.

So now the question is, what is considered a engaged lead? 

I would say you can create a smart campaign which has your items you considered "engaged". In your flow you can add a "change owner" and put a contstraint in for location.

The email will have a CTA, engaged is click on link. 

But engaged only happens after the email is sent.  I need the original email before any engagement to send out from the lead owne.  Does that make sense?

I tried change owner, it syncs it to salesforce, I'm not sure what you mean by constraint for location.  This list has multiple lead and territory owners depending on where the region is.

I have the same issue. How do I upload a cold list to Marketo without it syncing to Salesforce. Justin Fong, if you could help me with this as well, it would be great! We have an urgent campaign to send and this is the only think stopping us. 

Your help would be appreciated.

I'm still waiting for a response as well.  I did a change data value (but withheld the list) but it still synced.  Would love to know a workaround if there is one ASAP.  This is holding me back as well.

Hi Dianna D, 

After speaking with an employee from Marketo on the phone yesterday, he was able to assist me with this.  

What had happened to me was that I currently had an active trigger campaign that was set up to automatically sync any uploaded leads straight to Salesforce. All I needed to do is insert a filter that excluded the list I was about to upload. 

So in order, I needed to create a list name in Lead Database, go back to the trigger campaign and include the filter 'Member of List - not in - [and list name]... Go back to Marketing Activities and create a program which you can affiliate the list with and then upload the leads in the List you added. This finally worked for me and will hopefully works for you too.
