Send alert once

Hi All,

Is there any way to set up an alert once. The idea here is that leads sign up for a seminar and then 1 day before the event an alert is sent to a sales person instructing them to download the attendee list from Marketo. Presently based upon my understanding he receives an alert for every lead.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Hi All,

I have came up with a solution which I through I would share in case anyone wants to achieve the same functionality.

1. The sales person must register to the event so they become a member

2. Create the following smart program

Filters

- Program status changed > Registered

-Email address contains > @yourdomain

Flow

-Wait with Date Token minus 1 days

-Send alert

3. Create a smart campaign to remove after event

Filters

Program status is changed

Member of program true

Email address contains @yourdomain

Flow

-Wait with Date Token after 1 days

-change program status > not in program

Thanks

Matt

Hi Matthew,

Instead of an 'alert', you might be able to use 'smart list subscription' functionality to enable this business case.

In Marketo, create a smart list holding all the attendees. And create a smart list subscription for the email address of the sales rep 1 day after the seminar. So he/she will get an email which will 'remind' and also present link to download the attendees.

Hi Rajesh,

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I dont think this will work as there is no option to schedule the subscription once.

I wish there was a way to trick the system so that the alert was prevented from sending multiple times.

Thanks

If you are using Salesforce, you could connect the program with an SFDC campaign and then created a task connected to the campaign for the rep
