selecting dropdown as a form field for landing page forms

I don’t see Dropdown as an option on the list of available form  field types, when creating or editing customizing form fields in Field Management. I’m building out a capture form for a landing page, and need to end it with a dropdown menu profiling question. Dropdowns are a very common field type for landing pages; I’m surprised this is not available or readily evident at this point. How do I do this?

The dropdown ("picklist") itself is created on the form level, used on whichever lead field you choose (you're right that you may have to create a new field in field managment, though I've just been manipulating existing ones). This is well documented in a number of discussion (as well as in the Foundation Replay modules):

In the Form Designer's Form Properties window, change your field type to "select," refresh the browser, then enter your picklist values in the "Value list" field.
