Segmentation Exame question

Hello All,

I'm studying for the MCE, I found some resources and my attention is on this question:

You create an Industry segmentation. You add the following segments to your Industry segmentation: Healthcare, Education and Food Services. How many total segments does your Industry segmentation have?

  • 0
  • 3
  • 4
  • 5

On the online quiz the answer seems to be "4" but it is not clear to me why:

if I create a segmentation called "Industry" that has:

  1. Healthcare
  2. Education
  3. Food Services

I see 3 segments not 4, can you please let me know where I don't get it?

To me the correct answer is 3 unless we count the segmentation "Industry" as segments too, but is not what the question is asking or am I wrong?

Thanks,

Cristina

Every segmentation has a Default segment. That's every bit a real segment.

Correct, for every segmentation there will be a Default segment. In the this question the lead having industry as Healthcare, Education or Food services will receive the content as per his/her industry and the lead having industry other than these 3 will receive the Default version.
