Salesforce to Marketo - Current Client Lists

Hello all!

I am stumped. I work for a Software company and I've been using Marketo for roughly 8 months now.

I want to be able to import a current client list ONCE into Marketo from Salesforce and have it update automatically anytime those contacts are updated or removed inside of Salesforce. In essence, we want to always have the most current up-to-date list of our current clients in our Marketo account.

What is the best way to do this?

You should move the question to Products (Move link at the right).

Assuming you're synchronizing with SFDC (no reason to use Marketo + SFDC if you're not) you can synchronize a Marketo Program with an SFDC Campaign. Use the Campaign w/SFDC workflow or Apex to manage membership and status.

That's the key: the names need to be synced from SFDC to Marketo.  Importing them breaks the connection between SFDC and Marketo and treats them as separate records.  If you enter them in SFDC (which sync to Marketo by default) - or import to Marketo and do a force sync to SFDC - any updates made on the records will be reflected on the other side.
