Salesforce Lightning Shared Contacts

Is anyone using SFDC Lightning Shared Contacts functionality? How does Marketo support Shared Contacts (when one contact is connected to multiple accounts). Obviously this is changes reflects reality for most companies, but I'm not sure how Marketo displays this information and can't find any articles about it. Does anyone use this now and how does it work?

I heard back from my CSM - according to him the 1 to many functionality is not translated to Marketo. Marketo will only associate the person record with the primary account in Salesforce. It will not be able to associate the contact with multiple accounts. It should not break anything, just not getting full functionality from SFDC.

I'll probably move forward with it, but expect that many at my company will be upset that the enhancement in SFDC which will help so much with targeting will not be available in Marketo. Trying to figure out how to address that....

Id be interested to know this as well. I thought that they would just be synced under their Primary Account.

Hi @Christina Zuniga,

Thanks for updating us on this, definitely a shame.  Please let me know if you find a workaround.

Thanks,

Gerard
