Salesforce Leads
Will Marketo send emails to those contacts who are entered into our Salesforce database as "leads" vs. as "contacts" as long as we have their email and name informaiton entered in?

Marketo will treat Leads and Contacts the same unless you specify an SFDC type filter when running your campaign.
