Has anyone else come across this error when editing a lead in SFDC?

Your changes cannot be saved
The record your were editing was modified by Marketo during your edit session.
Please re-display the record before editing againg.

One of our sales rep claims this is keeps happening and takes them about 3-4 times re-entering the lead info before they are able to finally save it.

Hi Nadia,

It means that your synch from Marketo is happening at the same time that your rep has the edit screen open in Marketo.

Do the reps tend to keep it open for extended periods of time?  It might be worthwhile to lower your synch interval down 5 minutes or so.  While it does happen sometimes, it should be fairly rare.

We're having the same issue.  What do you mean by "Lower" the sync inteval? If our reps are on the phone for several minutes at a time, filling out their lead objects, how can they avoid this?

Our reps have the edit window open for several minutes whiile they talk a customer through an account setup.

Hi Lynn,

Log a case to support@marketo.com and request it.  You're probably sitting at 5 minutes now...You can move it to 10 or 15 and be safe.

Michael - do you know if there is anyway to have the Salesforce user edit override the edit via API?  Alternatively, is there anyway to solve this issue besides increasing the sync interval to > 5 minutes and/or telling Salesforce users to save more frequently?
