Salesforce Custom Fields - values appear in Marketo as database code

For my segmentations, I am using a filter for a custom field in salesforce. However, values that show up as possbile selections for that field are the salesforce data codes, not the user-friendly value that is typed into that field in salesforce. This means that rather than filtering by, say, an Account Manager's name, I have to filter by the database code's value for that Account Manager, which is a long text string of alphanumeric characters. Is there any solution?

It sounds like this field is a lookup field in SFDC and is not putting in the text value of the name. You should ask your SFDC Admin to fix that.
