Salesforce Contacts Vs. Leads (Scoring)

I launched my first campaign today that had a mixture of salesforce leads and contacts. Any contacts who took action (opens, clicks) with the email were scored appropriately, but the leads who took action on the email got nothing.

Has anyone else experienced this? Are there supposed to be two life-cycles in place for this?

HI Lindsey,

This question probably belongs to the "products" section

You give us too little to know the issue. are your observing this in SFDC or Marketo?

Your scoring campaigns may exclude leads. The sync on score fields might be broken for leads...

Hi Greg,

I am observing this in Salesforce.

I will look into my campaign scoring and sync. Thanks for the ideas.

Hi Lindsey,

And move this question to the product section. This post may help: ** PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING YOUR MARKETO PRODUCT QUESTIONS HERE **

Have you checked if the all members of the campaign in Marketo have been given a score?  If so, I'd definitely look at what is being sync'd to here from Marketo to SFDC as it might not to syncing to the correct fields.

Thanks

Juli

Lindsey,

I would first verify if the leads did receive a score in the Marketo lead score field by checking the activity log of a lead you know took action on the email. If so, it is possible you are not seeing that score in the SFDC field if the fields are not mapped correctly.
