SalesForce activity - inactivity filter

Hey guys I have a question,

If I want to see leads that have not had any activity logged in the past 30 days, which would I use? Subject "is not empty" or subject "is empty"?

If there was no activity logged, then wouldn't the the subject be empty? But that seems weird for some reason.

Hi Victoria,

You could really use both of these just to be sure.  Most often activities will be logged with a subject, so you would want to use "Is Not Empty" to find those, but just in case, I would include both filters in your smart list and then change the logic to Any.  That way lead could qualify for either filter, meaning they either didn't have any activity with a blank subject logged in the past 30 days, or they didn't have any activity logged that included a subject.  Does that make sense?

I attempted this, but still have leads with activities appearing - any other suggestions?
