Russian Cyrillic to Symbols

I am having an on going problem of Customers names being entered in Russian Cyrillic and then Marketo changing it to Symbols.

How can I get these back into english or russian?

Anyone else having this problem?

Not sure.... I am not the one entering them. I am just reviewing the data now and seeing the symbols

Well, that doesn't give much to go on.

I assume they came in via a List Upload but the format was not UTF-16LE (in Excel this is called the "Unicode Text" option).
