Roles for Read Only?

I have a new trainee that I want to start off with read-only access. Specifically, I want him to see Smart Lists and a few Smart Campaigns we created for a particular dashboard. In a perfect world, I want him to be able to edit the dates in the Smart Lists.

They are housed under Marketing Activities in our instance.

Any thoughts on if this is possible?

Create a new role check the Marketing activites box to give them access to that part of the application, but then uncheck all of the items below. This should give them read only access to this part of the instance. You should test it just to be sure. It should look like this:


In order for them to edit the dates, I believe you would need the Edit Marketing Asset permission, but that would also allow them to edit ANY assets in Marketing Activities. It doesn't sound like you are ready to give that to them yet.
