Rich Media Thank you page Content AI set up

Hi,

I am trying to set up thank you pages using the content AI feature and I'm having trouble getting the content to populate. I have 4 pieces of content approved for testing predictive content and want to see three of them when I preview the draft with specific people in our database and we are using Google Tag Manager for our RTP tag. We want to use a custom thank you page design with the template 1 configuration and I've read and followed the steps outlined here​ but I cant get the generic template 1 to show up. Do we need 3 content place holders and variable placeholders or does the template take care of that for us?
