Report for custom activities

Hello everyone,

considering custom activities, and the fact they should have at least 1 minimum required field associated, I'm wondering if there is an "easy" way to report on any single value for any same custom activity.

 

Let's make it simple: we have website search custom activities working and I'd like to see any single search query done by any user.

We have the Last Search Keyword at the user level, but in this way, we are losing historical values.

 

For sure, I've already considered the API for querying the Custom Activities, but this solution needs effort to be developed.

Hello!

You're talking about Marketo Custom Activities, right? Custom Objects little sister?

 

Well, you can't use CAs the same way you can use Lead Database fields, when it comes to reporting. But you can use CA filters in Smart Lists, and you can use Smart Lists as Custom Columns in People Performance Reports. That's the route that I would look into first - without knowing what's in your CAs exactly.
