Reordering my Emails in a Nurture Stream

I want to swap the order of Email 1 and 2. What would be the implications of that? Would those who already received email 1, receive nothing when email 2 goes out?

Hi again,

They will receive the first email in the list that they have not received yet, whatever the order of the emails in the cast. So yes, in your case, they will receive the formerly email #2 which is now in position 1.

Hi Danielle,

Marketo know precisely, by ID, which email has been sent to each lead. So reordering will not prevent leads to receive email #2 if they have received the #1, even if the #2 is move before #1. This is where Marketo EP's are far superior to the competition...

Okay, thank you. So the ones who were supposed to receive the Original 2nd email, will receive nothing in the next cast or will they receive the New Email #1, even though they're technically supposed to receive Email #2 (which is now Email #1)

Hello Danielle,

The mechanism for the Engagement Program cast is pretty simple.  For each lead, the cast just goes through the content in the stream top to bottom and sends that lead the first piece of content it finds that they haven't received.  Since this is tracked by the Email ID and not the position in the stream, someone can receive piece #5 one cast, piece #1 (newly added) on the next cast, and piece #6 on the cast after that.
