Removing Leads Mid Flow and Adding Back in

I have a smart campaign with email sends and wait steps. I recently added in a remove from flow step and removed some leads. Those leads had received 2 out of the 5 emails in the smart campaign before I removed them. If I add those leads back into the same smart campaign will they get the 3rd email or will they start back at the first.


So essentially,

A 5 email smart campaign.
---------------------------------
Lead A & B got email 1 & email 2.

Lead A & B were then removed.

Added leads a & b back into the flow again.
Will a & b start back at email 3 or email 1 ?

You can add a choice in the flow step "If not was sent email A" send email " A and similarly for other emails. By doing this, if lead A & B has received 2 emails they won't receive the 1st two email and will qualify for the remaining emails.

They will receive the first two emails again unless you add logic into the flow steps not to send it to people who have already received it.
