Removing a specific email from a nurture stream

Hello, I have an active nurture campaign going but would like to remove one email from the stream to update a broken link and then re-add when it's completed. How do I do this?

I'm pretty new to Marketo so I want to make sure how to do it correctly before going in and doing anything and risking breaking the program.

Thanks,

Alex

Hi @amiller35 ,

This is pretty straightforward, luckily! You have two options, broadly:

1. Create a draft of the email, update it, and then approve the draft. The new email will then have the right details. Emails will continue sending out the old version until the new version is approved.

2. Deactivate that one email in the nurture stream by right-clicking it and selecting "deactivate". This will stop the email going out until you update it using the draft functionality listed in point 1.

Broadly speaking, everything will keep going in the engagement program unless you tell Marketo otherwise. That's the best part of drafts 🙂

@amiller3,

You can easily achieve this.

1. Go to the program.

2. Edit the email, replace the link and approve the email.

3. Send a test sample to check everything is alright.

4. Approve the draft in the stream as well. Now you are good to go, the engagement program will continue sending the emails as per the schedule.

And if you want to want to send the updated email to all the leads of the program then

1. Create a new email.

2. Deactivate old email in the stream.

3. Add and activate the new email to the stream.

Hope this helps.
