Remove the sync between Marketo and Salesforce

I have gone to Admin -> Salesforce and clicked Disable Sync. I have also gone to Salesforce and revoked the Marketo token. However, the sync persists, specifically for deleting leads. Does anyone know how to remove the sync completely?

Hi Jeremy, I assume you are talking about deleting leads in Marketo?

As far as I know  during the sync process, leads that were deleted in SF are not deleted in Marketo, but marked as "deleted in SF".
Is it possible that there is a smart campaign in Marketo that deletes leads marked as "deleted in SF"? If so, deactivating this campaign will do the trick.
