Reliability of Munchkin API

Has anyone seen research on how many people disable cookies or choose do not track?  We're going to rely heavily on the Munchkin JavaScript API for data collection in our pilot but some folks are worried we will miss a lot of people because of the "unreliability" of cookies and JavaScript.

I've seen estimates ranging from 5% to 50%.
