Referral program

Hi All,

My business has a requirement to develop a referral program that I believe sits outside of the scope of Marketos capabilities. The objective is to include Marketo to manage the process although I do realise the possible need for third party development. If there is a solution available we would be happy to engage with developers and or consultants that can deliver a solution. Or if anyone has attempted similar I'd love to hear from your experiences.

The Premise

  1. An existing customer initiates a social share across their networks
  2. People from their social networks make an on-line enquiry
  3. There is a trigger to identify when the enquirer becomes a customer
  4. Attribution is given to both parties
  5. Rewards are given

The key of this initiative is to be able to give attribution to the referrer. If anyone can point me in the right direction or has the skills please let me know.

Hi:

There is a product called social boost in Marketo that does this for you.  Social boost consists of Referral Programs, Sweepstakes, Polls and more.  You will need to upgrade your account to get it.

Thanks for the response Jamie, I may be mistaken although I was advised that we were unable to attribute the referrer to the new customer?

The challenge for us is that due to Australian spam laws we cannot ask customers to provide another persons details. I am hoping there is a technical solution that can bridge the gap. So in effect we require a person of their own volition to register, and from here attribution can be given to the original referrer, ideally the whole process is facilitated by a social share .
