Record Client IP Address and Provide Constraint for "Clicked Link in Email"

While "Visited Web Page" allows for both User Agent and Client IP Address to be recorded in activity details, right now "Clicked Link in Email" is limited only to User Agent. Could the IP that's clicking the link also be recorded to the activity in the same way as it's done for Visited Web Page? User Agents have limited effectiveness when trying to screen out non-human interactions.
