Random Sample with "Campaign is Requested"

I would like to test two emails in a campaign that I will be launching soon and was wondering if the random sample will work if the contacts are added to the campaign with "Campaign is Requested". 

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hi Brooke, 

Are you thinking to use an "add choice" in the Request Campaign flow step and request one send campaign for x percent of people and one send campaign for the rest? 

I'm pretty sure I've done that successfully. The interface allows it and I don't see why it wouldn't work. 

Or are you thinking of adding leads to the campaign with Request Campaign and then doing a random sample on the Send Email flow step? I also believe that would work -- don't see how the entrance criteria would effect it. 

Best way is to test your design with a sample list of test addresses and see!
