Pulling field values from SFDC Custom Object into Email

I'm having trouble pulling values into an email from an SFDC custom object. This object basically houses scores from an online survey.

After some research and reading through this article (Email Scripting » Marketo Developers ), I believe that I can only retrieve the values by creating email script tokens.

My stumbling block is that I don't see any of the variables for me to pull into the token. I understand that a prerequisite to accessing custom object variables is that the SFDC custom object needs to be associated to any standard object (Leads and Contacts)...which my SFDC admin has confirmed that it is.

Anyone have any tips on where I may have gone wrong?

Thanks!

Have you enabled the object for sync in Custom Object Sync?  You'll need to have this, and any fields which you want access to, enabled.  Doing so will prompt them to sync to Marketo, which may take a significant chunk of time to populate depending on the number of records in your SFDC instance.
