Program token with if/else not returning expected values

Hi Marketo experts,

I've started learning the velocity scripts and was testing something very basic which didn't work.

I've created a program token which returns incorrect results. Below is the config:

I tested email with 'Customer ID - 777' and it is returning token value as Bad ID returened, ID is ${lead.Customer_id}.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong in the script below?
