Program membership over time reporting

There are many cases where I would like to report on the number of people added to a program over time, and have those results shared with me on a regular cadence.

 

For example: I would like to report on the number of people that became a campaign member for an automated email campaign per month. 

Jan = 100

Feb = 200

March = 30

 

Today the only way to see these results is by creating individual smart lists.

    This would be really cool! I could see it working similarly to the "Group People by" function in a Person Performance report. You could have the option to group by day/week/month/quarter/year, and pick from the date the lead was first added to the program, the date of program success, etc.. Maybe you could even also group by fields in the same way that Person reports can so you could group by, say, country to see which countries the program is most popular in.
